Actually yes there was a beta patch for poser released it has been taken down and we are all awaiting news of the nonbeta or newer patch. There is a post about it on the front page. Newer image was created by beta patch users as to your other problems I can't really help you except to say for some reason sometimes Poser remembers part of the figure you did before(at least it has happened to me) Try closing down Poser and then opening it again, even restart your computer before reopening Poser then go straight to the model you had problems with.
