Pardon me while I rave for a moment....

I really love these! They breathe so much life into my renders! And they are so simple to use and to remap your favorite textures to.

I've remapped the eye textures from my Raven Package to work witrh the Real Eyes as seen above. It took me all of 10 minutes. If anyone who has Raven would like these textures plus the MAT pose files to apply them. just let me know.

Cin- ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 7:01 PM

I'm still going back and forth on buying these, but the more I see of them, the more likely I am to get them. Thanks for the image Daio!

Traveler ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 7:08 PM

I love them too. Worth every penny. Trust me Cin you won't be dissapointed! They are a poser tech advancement up there amidst the ranks of photobased skin textures and transmapped hair. They add a another level of reality to the figure :) Daio: Can I have a copy :) hehehehehehe -Trav

JetM ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 8:05 PM

They export well to Bryce too. And easy easy easy! I agree, worth the money

Cin- ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 8:44 PM

While we're on the subject, and this may be answered in the product description.... if you remap, say Victoria eyes for the Real eyes, can you use the new textures and MATs for the Real Eyes on ANY figure, or just Vicky? What I mean... is if I had Daio's Raven (which I don't) and wanted to use those eye textures in Vicky's head with the Real Eyes, would I be able to?

Daio ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 8:53 PM

Yes, you could. It works very nicely too. You can use remapped eye textures on the real eyes in any figure.

Cin- ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 8:55 PM

That is nice to know... I really like the eyes I made up in my Lilliana package, and would love to use them on more than one figure... I know Dave71 has already remapped them for the RealEyes, so I may just have to pick them up! :)

Xena ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 11:57 PM

Go grab 'em buckaroo. I don't regret it for a second ;)

RealitysPoison ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 8:33 AM

I have to agree. They are one of the best purchases I have made recently. I am slowly redoing all of my eye textures to fit them, and the ability to use the same eyes for everyone is wonderful. I have gotten rid of all the seperate folders of MAT files for eyes for different characters now. It is well worth your money.

Hi Thanks everyone for your nice words It really means a lot to me... I don't know if you saw my last render in the gallery, but there is a new clear blue texture and a reflection map. Tonight or tomorow (when i got some time) i'm gonna put the texture, the reflection, and the mat files online, probably directly in the free section.. I'm also working on new settings for the eyes, like posetta peaks, massive mike etc. they'll aso be downloadable in the free section. Since the last update (1.5) CR2 files can be redistributed so you can create your own (for your own characters) and put them online too if you want to;o) Take care Cecile

nikitacreed ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 10:04 AM

Ohh...these look great! Can someone post a render of them with the whole eye as a dark blue. The WHOLE eye. I need better Eyes of Ibad (Dune reference) and I would like to see how they reflect light when the whole eye is turned a dark blue.

Kinouk ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 10:07 AM

Cecile, can you post here at the forum when you upload the new CR2s. I have had you eyes for about a week. Thanks you so much for giving us such a great product. Now all I have to do is learn how to remap;) Joan

cake1 ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 10:09 AM

Nikita creed, i'm still at work... :o( but if you give me a couple of hours, i'll post them tonight, from home ;o) If it works well, i'll make a matfile of it for you ;o)

Daio ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 10:27 AM

Ooh I really like those new blue eyes! Thank you again for creating the Real Eyes!

I am patient Cecile. (Despite what my family and friends say about me. ;o) Thanks for doing it for me!

nfredman ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 12:00 PM

Cecile, you are an amazingly hard act to follow! i think i may have to follow Cin-'s suit and fit up my CharacterEyes to work with your RealEyes. :^)

I hope this is what you wanted to see ;o)

Traveler ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 2:13 PM

WOW! Um... can I get a copy of those mat poses too :)

nikitacreed ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 2:16 PM

The one on the top right is just about perfection!!! You just sold another customer Cecile! I will pick your eyes up tomorrow afternoon (when the paycheck clears..*heh)! I knew they were awesome eyes...but now I am doubly convinced! Thanks for going to the trouble to do this for me Cecile!!

nikitacreed ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 2:17 PM

Oh yeah....please...please...can I have the MAT poses!! Just perfect those colors...now if someone will model the uniform I need...I will die happy. hint....Eric...cough...Eric...Hint

nfredman ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 2:25 PM

WOW, Cecile, you definitely sold me. Just call me a customer... when i get home tonight. Shiny eyes, here i come! ...And, ((psniff!)) could you distribute that little toy you made for Nikita? ((whimper)) Nikita--if you don't have BeyondBent's shard suits...well, they'll do in a pinch for still suits.

cake1 ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 2:25 PM

I'm gonna create now the mat pose for the blue colour and settings, used with the defaut blue texture. to change the texture of the iris, you'll just pick in the texture directory the one you like (easy ;o). Making each texture a blue mat file wouldn't be really usefull as all the texture already have their mate file and in this case, it's just a change of colour ok, so keep an eye on the free stuff area.. ;o) (gonna eat something, already half past nine, here, and didn't have dinner yet ;o)

nikitacreed ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 2:30 PM

Thanks Nan. Got the Shard suits (won them in a contest...yay for me!) and used them already in my growing Dune series of images. They work very very well. Woohoo! Thanks again Cecile! GO EAT! ;o)

Cin- ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 5:43 PM

Okay Okay... just take may wallet... I'm gonna buy 'em when I get home tonight... sheesh you people and your excellent products, you don't want me to have any money, do you?

Xena ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 7:08 PM

Thank you Cecile. I love to see such great after sales support form other vendors :) And hey Daio - thanks for starting the thread s

cake1 ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 7:15 PM

You 're welcome, Xena Actually, the new texture and reflection was supposed to be online 2 days ago, when i uploaded the image in my gallery, but i got tired, went to sleep and couldn't do it the day after. The good part is that Dune blue eyes, wich are really a great idea from Nikita (even credited in the readme file ;o)) smile Ok, so now i want to see what you all have done with them or i get frustrated ! lol show me renders, pleeeaaase...

Xena ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 7:23 PM

Dave71 ( ) posted Thu, 07 March 2002 at 10:01 PM

I tell ya these eyes rock, they are the greatest thing and I use them exclusivley now, no more standard poser eyes for me....Thanks for the freebies, the reflections are very cool...

Xena ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 5:50 AM

Hey Dave, I hope Cecile is paying you a commission wink

cake1 ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 5:57 AM

LOL actually, no. And i have to say i'm very impressed with all this wonderfully positive feedback i have from everyone ! But this make me think that Cross-promoting product could be a good idea. What do you think about that?

Xena ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 6:06 AM

Cross promoting is a great idea :) I've done it quite a few times with vendors here.

Daio ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 8:20 AM

I try let people know about products I really like. Hence this thread. I didn't realize that with version 1.5 I could include the real eyes in character .cr2s. I'll have to go back and update Raven with real eyes. :-)

cake1 ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 8:30 AM

Yes, you can include cr2 with version 1.5 however, your customers who didn't buy the Real eyes won't be able to do anything with the cr2s... All they should see is a face with empty orbits.

Daio ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 8:42 AM

I realize that. I was simply going to provide a second cr2 file with the real eyes for those who had them. I'd still have the original cr2 for those who didn't.

I have no information on price, or release date for now, but i can show you the pic he sent me. (as he can not access here, i'm posting it for him ;o)

It looks really great and i can't wait to play with it myself ;o)

smile

Cin- ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 1:50 PM

Hey! The big one looks like MY eye! That's almost my exact eye color... mine are a bit more grey than green though, but that's really really close.

Daio ( ) posted Fri, 08 March 2002 at 3:40 PM

Cin- if you go way back up to the top and look at the third Raven eye testure I posted. That is MY eye taken from a digital photo I had my sister take of me. Well, there is more green in it usually than that pix shows, the lighting was bit off. No one can seem to decide if my eyes are dark hazel or brown. I say dark hazel since my mother's eyes are hazel and my Dad's are blue, mine can't be brown unless my mom was fooling around and I look too much like my Dad for that. :-)
