Scarring is VERY bad, even for caucasions who are prone to less scarring than minority women. Ironically, black women and hispanic women, who tend to need such surgery more often than caucasions are prone to keloidal scarring which is a strong deterrant to avoid anything that leaves a scar. Then there is the issue of feeing one's infants. It becomes almost impossible after such surgery. And finally, loss of sensation, or ironically in some rare cases increase in sensation to the point that one can barely stand any sort of normal contact that other women enjoy because sensation is too intense.
