Subject: Allocating more memory

Mac. It looks to me like "Finder" is the Mac version of Explorer. In PCese, that would be like saying "do not start the program from explorer". What I believe this is referring to is the list of application properties for the program. There are apparently paramaters that can be set by accessing them from the "finder" icon, and one of these seems to be memory allocation. I believe the memory allocation needs to be set higher? Can you locate the icon in finder, then at the "file" menu (top) click to "properties"? Im guessing there will be something like "memory usage" or "priority". (I don't have a Mac, this is just my guestimate after some research. Can any Mac folks confirm or deny?)
