You'll definitely need more compact flash memory, but it sounds useable. To put things in perspective Marshall; I know you are familiar with some of my flower pics, well they have been shot with a 1.3 Megapixel digital, so you have more resolution there for a start! The great thing about digital is that (with available memory) you can snap away to your hearts content. The bad thing is - you can snap away to your heart's content! (you should see some of the dross on my hard-drive) If you are serious about hi-res photos you can enlarge and print with acceptable quality, you may (no make that will) want more megapixels, but for web or personal pics this camera could be the go.
