I make real chainmaille (16ga mig wire, 3/4 ID, butted ends) and I am SO impressed. I will be cecking the area under the arm - that is the true test for real chainmail... If this is transmapped I would love to see it and ask if you are going to do something along the lines of a byrne or full hauberk for the mail figures.
