Subject: problems with OSX

Folks: When i purchased my new silver g4 with the works, I recently purchased the "Web collection" which includes Adobe Photoshop 6, Illustrator 10, go Live and Live Motion. All installed okay from OS10 except for Photoshop. I've tried reinstalling it but the following problem remains. When I bring it up from the "classic environment" the upper task bar (the one with file, edit, view etc. in it ) is completly blank and the commands of course are unavailable. Also it doesn't recognize my Epson c80, instead listing the fax tha comes with the G4. I can find no place to change the printer? Appleworks sees the printer okay. I also have Photoshop Elements installed which acts the same way. Oh, I forgot to mention aside from not seeing the printer both 6.0 and Elements above apps run just fine when launched from 9.2 from a clean 9.2 boot instead of the erzatz "classic environment!" In both cases I can't see how to get it to recognize my printer. mahalo in advance for your advice ...

Alpha sits back in his chair drooling over the idea of a new Quiksilver Sorry GW... I cannot help at all on this one, I am still running 9.1. I am still hearing to may stories like this to want to go to OSX yet. So which processor(s) did you get? I have been dreaming about going wioth a dual system.

I bought a Titanium powerbook G4 first, with Final Cut, with 500mhz, then I liked it so much I got a quicksilver G4 with dual 1000s. In some ways especially on the internet (i use the same base station airport system for both) the powerbook seems ifaster. Certainly the OS is not as caprious as X. I also bought the system upgrade to 10 for my powerbook but have thot better of applying it yet..

Final Cut is so cool... I use it a lot at work, and video is fast becoming one of my favorite things to do...
