Other than setting up a lights that are a pair of spots parented to the main camera and pointing at the head and abdomen of the selected figure, I have done very little. I don't know what I know about them. I wonder about producing new cameras with spots attached to aid in setting the spots up. Seeing the location thru a camera sure beats guessing. And, I bet even more control can be had by pointing the spot at an invisible ball prop and maneuvering the prop for fine tuning. I just made the setup my preferred state and also saved it as a pz3 and use PStart to open with it. The PZ3 method would allow for any number of different light arrangements. Poser seems to behave better if you flush it before any major change. It frees up RAM and helps avoid a freezeup. So you might consider a different path to your result.
