Thanks again Geralday. just a note, while continuing on and making small wooden shields I found that when two halfs are merged into one and point merged I sometimes still got a slight un-even ridge at the merger point once in Poser and textures applied (yes, I did use SPLIT VERTICALS in UVMapper as well and still got some slight irregularities) I found that if I MERGE FACE(s) also (while in Anim8or) this seems to resolve it. Your help (and help from others here) has been wonderful, thank you all. who knows, I might one day actually understand what I'm doing........
