Okay, not a spectacular render or anything, but I am really impressed with how the flame came out. When I modeled it, I just twisted up a primitive in Amorphium. This image has no editing. Just the ambient and transparency effects in P4. Nice when something works by accident.

Or perhaps just proof that Fortune Favors the Bold?

Never mind all that technical stuff, why has that poor guy got a lighted carrot on his head? or is he just an over active vegetarian, I thought carrots were supposed to make you see in the dark without the need to light them LOL :>) Chris-S

I think the lighted carrot IS his head!!!

The rendering is of Bob Burden's comic book character, Flaming Carrot. The carrot is a mask. Hee hee. Silly, right? It's really good stuff, honest. Even some of my comic-hating friends like this stuff.

Flaming Carrot was also the comic book where the characters that last year's "Mystery Men" film was based on first appeared. Great stuff.

The word is, speaking of the Mystery Men, that someone is working on Screwball. I plan to attack the Artless Dodger at some point. If anyone out there is making Carrot characters, the 3D Comics Collective is accepting submissions, and will promise a happy home. :)
