Ok, I've followed your suggestions. I added capstones to the fencing, actually, I added capstones and sectional pillars, it made for a better look, I think. The corner pillars have a ball on the capstone and the others just have a plain one. I redid the grass material by converting it to b/w and using the noise filter in Paint Shop Pro, then used that as a bump map, and it really did make a big difference, I think. I also added in the second tree and changed the camera angle and went to 50mm. I think this is shaping up quite nicely. All it needs now is a bench or something to offset that large expanse of lawn. I am here first Kate :) Very nice! What about the Poser doggie leaping to catch a stick in the air and the master (Poser boy) in "throwing" pose far behind him/her (dog)....yeah? Bill

Kate, I think your image is turning out beautifully. But I think it would be a shame to leave the mountain the way it is. It's got that sort of unatural pointy look and the texture could maybe use some more detail. Other than that, looking great! -Karl

Yes, Karl, I will have to do something about that mountain. The texture is totally wrong for it, but I tend to start at the front and work my way back, that way everything seems to blend together more, even the parts that are meant for contrast. I also need to do something with that hill on the left, it's too bare as well. Kate

Why not round the mountain down a bit (more like hills than mountains) and shift it to the left. As it is it's being upstaged by the tree. A cute little animal or two on the grass would look nice & give the viewer something to focus on. Got a squirrel or rabbit or something?

OK, OK, in deference to the "Preserve the Volcanic Mountain" committee, I amend my suggestion to just throwing some fauna in the scene. The mountains we have around here are pretty old and non-pointy, but this could be a young (relatively speaking) peak. Rabbits would be cute tho.

Kate, Wow! What a difference a day makes! Heh! Looks like a real place and that is what you're after, I'd imagine. Great job! Though I'd not 100% sold on Vue vs Bryce, it is looking better all the time. - Art -
