If you every had a figure drawing class the instructor would have told you the basic "heads high" principlal, where (slightly ideallized) bodys are measured off in heights of the figures head, the second head height should be to a line connecting the nipples, the 3rd to the navel (navel navel...), the 4th to the bottom to the crotch, the 6th just under the knee joint, the 8th is the bottom of the feet. This is for the "8 head" high figure, which is pretty leggy, most nowadays use 7 1/2 head high, the difference taken out in the legs. Now, after saying the above, this is an idealized figure, many in real life don't measure up, nor do many Poser figures, but some do!
