I own several antique chests (tansu)It should not be difficult to photograph them and make props. Japanese tansu are mostly rectangular and it should be pretty easy to simply make a texture for a cube. and I have a poser shoji screen somewhere. I am working on an idea graphic novel set in medival japan and can use a lot such stuff myself.
