Dude, Run to www.animationstand.com right now.Their flagship Cinema Version 2D animation software that sold for $6000 now sells for $595 (with printed manual) and $545 (with pdf manual) :-o
This software rocks. It outputs up to CINEMA / FILM RESOLUTION, to flash, to QuickTime, to sequential stills, etc. For over two years now, I have been using the old PRO Version that supported only up to HDTV resolution (which was a bomb :-) at $600). I have never looked back since then. I just upgraded to the new Cinema Version for $100. I simply cannot believe it. So much quality at such a price. It is insane :-o.
Animation stand does pencil test, automatic painting, 3D shading, camera moves,........dude the whole nine yards :-). And it can output to FILM RESOLUTION (this is the one that kills me). No other software out there today has such capabilities at such a price. I think it's a steal.
Oh yeah..., sorry I don't work for the company :-). I'm just one thoroughly satisfied customer :-D :-D So if you are into 2D or looking for your break, go for it. This might just be it.
