Hi bloodsong, OK I can see what you intended now but I don't find it convincing as a lump of snow on his head. Unfortunately I'm not sure what to suggest to make it look better. Maybe a few smaller bits on his head in the process of breaking up with bits dropping off? I think maybe the problem is that the under surface of the ice/snow would have been flat and if it were to take on that curved shape on his head it would break into two with a V shaped gap between them.
