Dark Corner Productions is pleased to present this preview of Stone Maidens, our upcoming texture, character, pose, and prop pack for Victoria. Stone Maidens includes a collection of 5 high resolution stone textures, including weathered stone, black granite, and marble. The character morph, as seen here in this image, is based on classical statues and paintings, as are the 10 poses (20 in all) included in the pack. To augment the pack we have included a textured pedestal prop, textures for the p4woman curly hair, and texture tiles to help our customers make their own matching prop textures. Because we used Victoria, the Stone Maidens textures will also work on the Millenium Kids and the Millenium Baby, as you can see in this image. All this, and more coming soon to the Marketplace =)

Cheers,
Kiera and Blackhearted, Dark Corner Productions

I think it looks cool. I would be interested in something like this for Michael, too. Jay

We are considering a Michael stone texture, but wanted to do Victoria first because her map works for so many DAZ models.

Blackhearted ( ) posted Fri, 12 April 2002 at 10:46 PM

jay - we have a michael/stephanie pack in the works. between the two of these packs, all of the millennium figures will be covered. thing is, this is just about the most painstakingly time-consuming item ive ever made, ive been suffering in deep paint and photoshop and uv mapper for the last couple of weeks, and poor kiera's been suffering with parenting, scaling, and two sets of poses created from actual statues. we both need a break :) so youll have to wait a month or so, theres no way im jumping into another project of this magnitude right away. i need to catch up on some sleep, and school starts for me on monday :( cheers, -gabriel

Sounds great! Thanks for the replies! I'll be very interested in checking this out when its available. Jay

Heh, maybe I should have said "relieved to present?" =) Yeah, this was insane to put together, but Blackhearted did an outstanding job on the textures. Thanks for the compliments guys. ;)

Wow, I like it! I agree with Jay, I'd be interested in something like this for Michael too :D

Beautiful...........simply gorgeous, you two are amazing together, can I ask what the price will be?

Kiera ( ) posted Sat, 13 April 2002 at 5:35 PM

Thanks, Dave. ;) The pack will be introduced to the store at $19.99--that's for everything I listed above as well as a bonus global light setting from Blackhearted's Pro Luma light pack and a brief tutorial on how to get the best out of the textures.

Dave71 ( ) posted Sat, 13 April 2002 at 11:42 PM

I am surely gonna get that...I just love Tuesday and Ophelia

Oh, this is GREAT! Just this evening I was thinking I was gonna have to try to make my own. I've been wanting staue possibilities for sooooo long. Emily

Kiera ( ) posted Sun, 14 April 2002 at 6:38 AM

Thanks, Emily. =) I had seen several statues done in Bryce and whatnot, using Poser characters, including an absolutely outstanding piece in the Kitchens Bryce 4 book. But Blackhearted and I agreed that using the UVMapped coordinates to actually paint erosion and weathering in appropriate places would look much more appealing, and because none of the parts use transparency, using these textures in Bryce or other programs would be a snap.
