first one, I agree about the tightness of the cropping, & the square format, I often find that happens when I crop to get an effect I want the result is square which never quite seems to work. I really like the light in the bottom right & on the cheekbone, for me it adds a lot of emphasis & feeling to the shadowy face. I find the whiteness behind her face more distracting, with the lovely grain in the image it just seems to jar with the face somehow. I really like the cropping in 2 & 3, the "humanoid" seems to be coming alive!! about to speak, turn towards me or something...... Great graphic work.
