What Americans don't or won't admit is that the U.S. historically has a pretty abominable record with foreign affairs. But, y'know, every now and then, it's not our fault. These two have been clobbering each other for decades, with or without our involvement, and we step in every time because of some misguided allegience to Israel's leaders. If we treat both Sharon and Arrafat like the bickering children they truly are, then maybe, just maybe, they'll get the point. It's unfortunate that because these two men can't see eye to eye, their mutual hatred has to spill over into the people they supposedly "lead".
