NO DIVX PLEASE !!!

Little_Dragon ( ) posted Fri, 19 April 2002 at 7:02 PM

Are you guys objecting to DivX in general, or because you can't play DivX videos on your systems? Because if it's the latter, there are versions of DivX 5.0 available for Macintosh and Linux, and they're both free.

We, at DAS regret if the choice of video compressor is of some concern to the viewing of the trailer. However, your comments are of great importance to us and we are endeavoring to reach a better solution for all. In the next coming weeks, we will be presenting Trailer One, in at least three different formats, which will include one for our Macintosh viewers. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask that you stay tuned for more changes. For those of you who can view the trailer at this time, we would like to extend our gratitude in your interest and welcome any comments or suggestions you may have. Thank you once again, The staff of DarkAngel Studios

I have the latest Divx, but was unable to see any video. There was audio though.

Stay Focused.

EdW ( ) posted Sun, 21 April 2002 at 4:08 AM

Was there supposed by anything other than the audio and a green screen stating that the preview had been approved for all audiences? That's what I got. I actually quite like the Divx codec, but I usually post my videos in QT format. Ed

Quicktime or mpeg is always the safe bet
for the widest possible range of web viewers

Divix offers superior play back quality( I hear).

but whats the point if only %10 of web surfers
can see your work.??
