I've been on the road for the past week, so I didn't see the humongous thread over the Backstage image with Anton's name. So let's get a few things straight here, shall we? Anyone who saw that as a slam against Anton clearly hasn't read the series and has no clue what Maury, the kid, or even the entire series is about. So before you start jumping in and claiming it was some kind of personal attack, I can only tell you -- you're way off base. To Anton: as I said to you in e-mail, I have the highest regard for your work, and I've said so on these boards many times. If you feel otherwise, there's not much I can do about that except say -- again -- that I am a huge fan of your stuff. I mentioned you in the post because of the current rage for things Egyptian, between the stuff you have at DAZ and the new Scorpion King movie... but an attack? Not a chance. I treated you in the post as I have treated others in other Backstage images: with very gentle ribbing and nothing more. And I would earnestly recommend that you, like a few others here, would do well to recognize good natured fun when you see it. But change the post? After this? Not a chance, sorry. Just as I was once told, after seeing a particularly vicious (and decidedly unfunny) cartoon with my name on it, based on a couple of people's completely wrong-headed thoughts about where I stood on the nudity issue, "hey, it's just satire". The difference is, in my case, I'm simply having fun with people whose work I happen to like, and most of them see it as having fun with, not at, them. Now, about the gay thing. Anton, I don't give a rat's ass what you are in the sexual spectrum. It simply doesn't matter to me, as it shouldn't to anyone else around here. But ANYONE who thinks I'm making some kind of anti-gay slam CLEARLY hasn't been following my work, and you just might want to scan a little more of the gallery before deciding in a rush that I'm some sort of rampaging homophobe. Or, as we would say in the vernacular, "get real, hon". So sorry, gang, but no apologies on this one. It was meant in the spirit of fun, and I see no reason to rewrite it because of folks who can't appreciate the value of a simple little joke. Have a nice day, huh?

Now I've been told to either edit the image's post or vague threats of legal action will ensue. This cracks me up, folks. It honestly does. But on Saturday, when I get home from this road trip, I will bow oh so lowly to those wishes and edit the oh so offensive post. I live but to serve.............

Unbelievable! Well, I can tell you one vendor that has just lost a customer. I don't give a damn if his stuff is solid gold.
