Maybe a "mission statement" from the AOM committee would be a good idea here. One where they lay out the basics - AOM selection criteria, committee member representations (how many people, ratios of admin to mods to general members, etc) without mentioning any specific names, of course, as I agree that personal anonymity is the best way to go for a committee of this sort.
