I use corel photopaint 9 myself, it's a little bit easier for me to use :-) Jay: all I did was use the clone, or as some paint programs call it, the stamp tool, to paint in the flame from another photograph (in my case, of a house that was on fire). Just set the feathering, or edge softeness and the transperancy high, then stroke in the flame to your satisfaction. Davo
