Just for reference gang, here's the deal with the star, and the direction it points. The original origins date back to Druidic rituals, and once I dig out my research books I'll post what additional detail I find. Please keep in mind that the original Pentacle dates back to around 3500 BC, and 100% accurate data is impossible to procure. While some accounts state that the pentacle is just the star itself, and the pentagram is the star and circle, these are the most widely stated and accepted 'origins': Pentacle: Star upright on vertical surfaces, or pointing North on horizontal. Used in rituals involving the Winter Solstice, or rituals of rebirth (life). Commonly associated with benevolent, or 'white' magic (The good guys). The pentacle is one of the holy symbols of the Wiccan faith, and believe it or not, was once held as a Christian holy symbol as well, representing the five wounds of Christ on the cross. Pentagram: Star inverted on vertical, pointing South on horizontal. Used in rituals of the Summer Solstice, or rituals of decay (death). Commonly associated with baneful, or 'black' magic (The bad guys). The pentagram was first adopted as 'the symbol of evil' by Eliphas Li in the 19th Century, and was officially adopted as the symbol for the Church of Satan in 1966 by Anton Szandor La Vey, its founder. Don't mistake the pentacle or pentagram for the symbols associated with summonings. Those are different, and are commonly referred to as Thaumaturgist Circles. The pentacle and pentagram were commonly used as channeling foci, with the caster seated or focused at the center. Thaumaturgist Circles were for containment/binding, and were NOT occupied by the caster...they were where the demon/spirit/enity was summoned to, and could not escape from unless released by the caster, or the circle broken. Ok, so I have WAY too much time on my hands, and study a lot of left-field subjects...in any case, the Citadel looks fantastic! :) ChromeTiger
