I'm sure you'll find many many people using Poser successfully on AMD architecture. If you're freezes happen during or just before rendering then it could be a memory problem... possibly caused by the Windows 98 memory leak? And if the warranty people tell you that your software is at fault then maybe they mis-sold you the machine in the first place? Ask for a replacement machine which runs your software. :)
