I just Downloaded and started testing the new mimic for the mac program it will publicy available on MAY 12!!!!!! have your credit cards ready!!!!!! heres my first(I.2 meg mpeg) voice is ...ME!!!!!!!I've been beta testing it for the past week (RC11) and there's still some problems. I haven't dl'ed the latest (RC15) but try this out, if you have Poser 3: Select the Again.aif sound file from clicking the Mimic open folder icon, generate the Mimic pose, then launch Poser 3 from the Mimic toolbar. Delete any previous figure in Poser. Go to People and choose the Casual Woman in Posing Camera view. Apply the Again facial pose Mimic created. When you change camera views to Face camera, the figure is flipped 90 degree counterclockwise. This has been duplicated on 10 different Macs using the same release of Poser 3 with any of the standard People figures. If you're using Poser 4, any aif file included with Mac Mimic does not generate sound when used with the Animal dog. The jaws move but no sound accompanies it either in preview or when making a movie. However, and this is the strange part, if you create a WAV file, then convert it into a non-compressed PCM AIFF file for use on the Mac (since Mac Mimic cannot read WAV files anyways) the dog character works! Still hard at work testing at school...
One thing I noticed tonight was using it with a figure that had not only a head morph but also additional dial settings. It almost felt like Mimic was fighting with the morph and forcing Poser to ignore some of the dials. This is on Poser 4 with the patch, BTW. I sent a note to Lipsinc about it but posted here in case anyone else noticed it. Still, that small quibble aside -- this thing is awesome.
yeah this Application was designed for the P4 Figures
but i am using the Latest millenium figures
exclusively and have had Good results
But even if this program yelds only %95 accuracy
that will mean spending 30 minutes on a ten second lipsynch that used take 31/2 - 5 HOURS!! by key frame.
this is a life saver.

Got a note from Brian at Lipsync today with a prelim version of Mimic for Mac. Looks like the final beta before the commercial release. Life is sweet.....
