Subject: remove or smooth backside of 3d model?

Does anyone know how to remove or smooth the backside of a 3d model? For example in Bryce, if you model anything, it has a reverse copy on the backside of the model, how can I smooth this out ? I have Poser 4,3D Studio max, and Zbrush.I just don't know the best way to fix this. Dwmdesigner

If you're using the symetrical latice in Bryce, which is what it sounds like you're doing, I guess you could use a boolean to remove part of it, but if you have 3D Studio Max, I can't imagine why you would be using Bryce's latice object. Just what exactly are you trying to model? 3D Studio has much better modelling tools availiable and can export to Bryce. Bryce is good for landscapes and not much else.
