A lot of objects are mapped on top of each other. If you select color by group, and then select by group, you can set separate maps to each group. Then, you move them around and re-scale them as you see fit. You will need to experiment with the different map modes to find what works best for your model. Remember to save both the texture map and the model (name the model something different than the original). UVMapper is a great program, you just have to play with it for a while to get to know it.
