You want complaints... Seldom does an event take place which is such an outrage that the silent majority stands up and demands action. But the silent majority is currently demanding that something be done about the Poser forum. Let me begin by saying that the Poser forum is a pretty good liar most of the time. However, it tells so many lies, it's bound to trip itself up someday. Now the surprising news: The Poser forum's fibs are designed to force square pegs into round holes. And they're working; they're having the desired effect. If we are to take steps against the whole illogical brotherhood of fickle hoodlums, then we must be guided by a healthy and progressive ideology, not by the prodigal and brutal ideologies that the Poser forum promotes. For the purpose of this discussion, let's say that the Poser forum periodically puts up a facade of reform. However, underneath the pretty surface, it's always business as usual. I'm no expert, but it seems to me that in order to make technical preparations for the achievement of freedom and human independence, we must dispense justice. And that's just the first step. Remember, the Poser forum thinks that anyone who dares to bring strength to our families, power to our nation, and health to our cities can expect to suffer hair loss and tooth decay as a result. However, it and its sycophants pay little or no attention to the negative impact that parasitism will have on our daily lives. The Poser forum uses the very intellectual tools it criticizes, namely consequentialist arguments rather than arguments about truth or falsity. The Poser forum may not be that coldhearted, but it sure is vulgar. The Poser forum presents itself as a disinterested classicist lamenting the infusion of politically motivated methods of pedagogy and analysis into higher education. It is eloquent in its denunciation of modern scholarship, claiming it favors improvident Philistines. And here we have the ultimate irony, because this is a free country, and I suspect we ought to keep it that way. For future reference, the Poser forum's assertion that things have never been better serves only to illustrate its ignorance and poorly hidden bigotry. We can therefore extrapolate that it's a pity that two thousand years after Christ, the voices of temperamental pop psychologists like it can still be heard, worse still that they're listened to, and worst of all that anyone believes them. I would like to put forth the possibility that the Poser forum should work with us, not step in at the eleventh hour and hog all the glory. That's all I'm going to say in this letter, because if I were to write everything I want to write, I'd be here all night. (Thanks, Thorne!)
