I like NURBS modelling...I could not "get it", until I discovered NURBS. I use rhino....not as pricey as some of the others, but easy to work with. YOu might want to go to the Amapi forum and pick up on the free version (full)of Amapi...another nurbs modeller. Also, the header for the modeling forum has links to various "freebie modellers".
