For new folks: Larry created Poser and Steve et al developed previous versions. They saved it when MetaCreations decided to dump all their graphics applications. Curious Labs is a small company, currently focused on giving us a ground-breaking Poser 5. As others have mentioned, working on a P4 patch would take scarce resources from that. They're had a wishlist available for P5 input for a long while, and we know they pay very close attention to what we're doing/suggesting/complaining about here. As for crosstalk: it's a bit of a bother to set up a group of figures with corresponding nulls, but goes fast with experience - and you can save and reuse your scene with no crosstalk problems. (The user guide with my P4FemMagic figures has a detailed illustrated guide and an included null that folks seem to find helpful.)
