I had about half a day to show the balloon concept in a pic for investors, so I thought, "Hmmm, what do I already have built that I can drop the balloon into that even vaguely resembles a city?" An hour or so to build the balloon wranglers and covert them, the balloon guy and their maps in Bryce, a couple hours to set up the scene again, and about 3 hours to render.
