Take a look at the post I made of a leather pants texture, it might be a page or so back now. I'm not sure where on the net I found the texture but it was perfect. The grain isn't too large and it's black. I did adjust it a bit and put a little blue in it. If you like what you see on the texture map (download it and put it on the male jeans, render and see if it's the look you want), then e-mail me and I'll send you the texture.
