Once on an email group about computer virusews I saved someone from being banned unnecessarily. He was Taiwanese Chinese and lived in Taiwan and his English was not the best. He asked about viruses for Vax computers, including ... I want to spread this ... and the moderator was about to ban him for planning to spread computer virus, but I pointed out that he could have meant "I want to spread information about how to detect and combat Vax computer virus".
