I have PaintShop Pro and it does use layers, smercs approach will work nicely. Just remember that the .jpg file you create will lose all the layer information (the .jpg format does not support layers). Therefore, you should save the texture as a .psp file as well, just in case. You might want to do some additional work on the texture after you have tested it in Poser, and it will be nice to have a .psp file to work on that still has your additions on a separate layer.
