Vile: If you're on a Mac, you're in luck. MartinC has created a plug-in for GraphicConverter which changes the "green" bump map back into an editable graphic. It's called SpeedBump, and it's pretty great.

Unfortunately, I believe there's no such utility yet available for Windows. Boy that's a switch...
