hmmmm.... circle, drag the conformed figure by the hip, not by the body. i'm pretty sure that works. i noticed in adjusting conforming items that the body trans dials don't do anything. the conformer might still try to stick onto the conformee when you do that, though. i'm not sure quite exactly how that works; if the conformer just jumps on the conformee and then copies it's pose, or if the joint centers attempt to nail themselves to their counterparts and stay there.
