Darth, you are mislead. I have been working on the project for over a year, and have tested COUNTLESS apps on Windows 2000, and the only issues I have seen, have been certain games that were hard coded to look for Windows 9X, won't run in Win2k, because it is an NT environment. Windows 2000 will be the exact same price as NT 4 was ($179), supports something like 10,000 devices with drivers in the box. If you bought your computer in the last 2-3 years, it will most likely have a driver for all your peripherals. If not, then most OEM hardware manufacturers will have new Win2k hardware drivers written within the next 6 months to stay competitive. It is simply the best product Microsoft has ever produced. If any of you are considering a move to Win2k, you can download a utility that I helped prepare that will analyze your system, and generate a report based on the hardware and software on your machine. It will tell you whether or not there are any known incompatibilities. Simply rocks. I would say on average about 90% of apps that run on NT4, will have no issues in win2k. And about 75%-85% of apps that run in Win9x. Check it out, here is the URL: Windows 2000 Readiness System Analyzer: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/upgrade/compat/ready.asp co(V)(V)union
