Welcome to the great world of Poser! Here you will find links to loads of tutorials: http://www.3dlinks.com/tutorials_poser.cfm Ronknights has some good tutorials for beginners (www.ronknights.com). A good thing is also to hang out in this forum, there are many trips and tricks exchanged here and the people are very helpful. Post a question and you will get a reply within hours, if not minutes.

If you want the direct link to my Freebies and Tutorials site, just use the link supplied here. My "domain site," www.ronknights.com has my art, and other stuff of interest. I've set things up so you can reach either site from the other!!! ![Message671414.jpg](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Message671414.jpg) RonAttached Link: http://www.lvsonline.com/index.html
LVS OnLine offers a beginning class in Poser for $20. It is a 6 week course covering all the basics of Poser. I am taking the class right now. Even though I have had Poser for a while, the class it teaching me a lot of things I did not pick up from tutorials or just playing around. PeggyLVS - Where Learning is Fun! Â

what's a manual? oh do you mean that big thick book I tossed into the cupboard to collect dust? you all forgot while pointing gulfmystery in 20 directions at once that there's a load of tutorials here at 'rosity, sorry to everyone who has tutorials but Ron's are the best for total beginners, keep up the good work Ron :) Rob

We have some tutorials for Poser and for programs you may use with Poser figures. Feel free to stop by. CrisThe Poser Arcana tutorials are good, especially for basics such as getting the right lighting. JeffH forgot to mention 3dcommune, we've got a nice helpful group over there, too. I do suggest starting with the manual. If you can get through that first tutorial with the clown on a walkpath you will have briefly touched on several of the basics, and can then go back and work on each area. Carolly

The site isn't up and running just yet, but in about 10 days *crosses fingers* it will be fully ready. The discussions forums should be open before that. There is a mailing list you can sign up for to be contacted when the forums do open up. It is just as the link sounds a Poser School to teach users the basics of Poser and as they progress they move up classes. It's also free.FYI it's looking like a week or so when the site will officially open by then I hope to have finished the tutorials I want before opening and then school would start June 30th. I'm very excited with the turnout I've recieved so far breaking 70 responses in two days. :) If anyone is interested in helping out in any way be it, through advice as a teacher, or tutorials PM on the boards. The last thing I want to do is have to have a limit on the number of students.
I bought Poser version 1 in 1996. I really didn't get anything of value from the manual. "Playing Around" didn't do any better. Skip ahead a few years to 2001, and Poser version 4. Add Renderosity to the mix, and "Voila!" I finally saw the light. "Playing around," or "experimenting" can be useless to some people like myself. Ron

After one year of trying, I finally got Poser today (I live in the arabian Gulf where its banned coz of the nudes)..where is the best place to find tuts for total beginners?????? I am a graphic designer and represent quite a few poser artists from REND, but dont want to pick their brains to be honest, they do enough work for me as it is...I did try doing something just now and I wont even begin to describe what I came up with, im not sure myself as it definatly did not look human lol
