This appears to be a real common problem on ME/98. there are lots of posts up right now all seeming to refer to what is probably a 128 Megabyte Memory Boundry. If you're using ME and have a copy of XP to upgrade to that's the way to go. I love xp. never since dos 6.2 has an os captured so much of my time. I think you'll like it if your laptop is up to the challenge.
