That is probably the greatest thing about being an American: we can say "the king is a fink!" and not get hung up by our toes against some mold-ridden wall. The government has actually changed a lot in 200 years. It used to be that you only had political power if you were a white male landowner. Change is slow. It is like the deep currents of the ocean. But water eventually gets its way. I haven't missed an election since 1968... when I leafleted for the recall of Governor Reagan. (I've never liked hypocrites.) People who don't vote don't have the right to complain... that they have any other rights is only due to the people who care enough to mark a ballot. After this last fiasco, I expect a lot more people will care what happens to them. Carolly
