Someone at Curious told me they were once commissioned to do a detailed forensic recreation in Poser and the defense was so appalled by the realism (i.e., the models had been morphed to strongly resemble the parties) that the judge had the animation thrown out before the jury could see it. Said Curious employee also shared the name of a well-known defendant who registered a copy of Poser but never used it in his defense. (I'd name the defendant but I don't want the employee to get in trouble with his boss.) Point is, I wouldn't be surprised to see more use of Poser in this potential application given the paucity of affordable alternatives.
