Some of the better-known programmes (not all may be listed on the web site) are Ultra Fractl (shareware), Sterling Ware, TieraZon, Mind Boggling Fractals, XenoDream (payware), and Kai's Power Tools FraxFlame/Plorer/4D (Photoshop-compatible graphics editor payware plugins). And let's not forget Fractint, which is a DOS program, but runs well in all the Windows flavors up to XP, if you get the latest developer's version from their website. It's freeware, and probably the best (and first) good fractal generator available.
