have you tried the "texturizer" filter (Filter --> Texture --> Texturizer) and select the Sandstone preset?? If this does not give you the graininess you want, try adding "noise" to a gray layer and select Gaussian and check the Monochromatic checkbox. Adjust the amount (%) of noise in the slider before applying the filter... just an idea, :) retrocity
