Subject: Importing objects from the second CD

Help!!! I was trying to import the table from the Home2 dir on the second CD. I wanted to give it a different shader, and Carrara will NOT let me. Is this a feature :-) ? Or am I doing something wrong. I tried to drag and drop, and I also tried to go to the paintbrush room... No dice... Of course, after that, it crashed on me... :-) Any ideas? Thanks, Aeryk71

What I have notice is that you can`t texturized a grouped object in Carrara. You can ungroup it and then texturize each part of the whole object and then group it back together. Dave

Yep, Dave is right. Try this. Bring up the Sequencer (CTRL H) then go into the Sequencer section where is lists all your objects. Click the little arrow next to the Grouped object. This should open the group up listing all the parts. You can then drag and drop shaders on these individual parts within the group. But ya gotta open up the group to expose all the parts in the Sequencer. Make sense? If not let me know. Clint
