Here is a review of Michael 2, M2 Texture Maps, and M2 Beard Mappak. MazakI agree about the spacing of the strands; it could use a better transmap, but I'm not really up for making one. And perhaps it is a bit pricey, but you get a lot for your money. The Fantasy Beard is very versatile.
Yes, it can do sideburns. In fact, Anton's Fantasy Beard comes with a full head of hair, which closely resembles his Full-and-Feathered hairstyle.
You can play around with the morphs and material settings to make different parts of the Fantasy Beard invisible. Some morphs pull parts of the mesh (like sideburns, mustache, or goatee) into the head where they can't be seen; in other cases, you adjust the transparency settings to get rid of entire sections.
If you want to mix-and-match the beard with a different hair prop, it's entirely possible. I've even used it on my female characters with the beard-portion made invisible, since I'm too cheap to buy the Full-and-Feathered hair.
Here are some images I've rendered of the Fantasy Beard:

Which beard map pack should I get Mike's 1 or 2. I own Michael 2 but I had the experience with the expressions that the Mike 2 pack wasn't as good as the first. Can anybody give me some advise in which one to get?
