If they were high res enough-- and easy to put on the textures [I've never done it, so a small tutorial might not go amiss-- don't know how the bumps on Michael's chin work]I think they would sell, we need good and easy bears that can go on any character and look right. It would need high-res though--at least 2000 by 20000,maybe 30000. I often wondered if these couldn't be brushed out like the-- don't laugh-- dog textures that look very flat until they're brushed up a bit. Though you need high contrast for that to work.
