Mac - YES you CAN do that in PhotoImpact which has layers, masking, transparancies, and most everything in photoshop - go to the Ulead website and download a FREE demo. If you note the "preview" and "test" buttons in the interface above, these allow you to apply your settings to the full image without committing to it, tweak a bit, preview, tweak some nore, etc, and this can be done on a transparent or semi-transparent layer. I have actually used it to distort photos to fit UV templates and it works fine. There are also other "bend", "smear" and "distort" tools as well to aid this process. I make ALL my Poser textures in Photoimpact not in Photoshop even thouth I have both.
