I thank one and all for their suggestions for a fix. I have found what the problem was. In prepartion for adding Lee's genatalia I had removed the chechmark for "Genatalia" on the Figure roll down menu. Since the genatalia are an integral part of hips in blNudeMan_Gen.obj, the entire hip is removed then Genatalia is unchecked. The solution was to leave genatalia checked and then hide them by unchecking "Visible" Properties selection of the Object roll down menu.
