There are several files (apart from your whole Runtime folder) that get left behind by uninstall - bet you weren't asked for your serial number when you put it back. Try moving some of the odd looking files from the main Poser 4 and Runtime/Prefs folders to another place and see if Poser will a) start and b) co-operate afterwards (you can always move 'em back if it doesn't manage a)).
