Here's what I do with joints, pretty simple and solves most probs. Zoom in far, take a smallish smudge brush set at around 20 to 30% transparency-- I work in Photoshop. Run it gently [this will only work with a tablet, but it will even work with PenPal and Graphis] around ANY sharp edges inside or outside the joints and often on the edges of the neck and shoulders, hips if they are exposed. For instance, I'd do it on the inside of the elbows of the lady to the right and outside, very gently as well. At at least 200% scale. You probably want to trans her back a nudge anyway, because her toes are under the knees of the lady in front. I used to try to redraw them and all sorts of nonsense that made them look even worse.
